Common questions

The keyboard shortcut does nothing

The default shortcut is Alt+Shift+S. If another extension uses it, open chrome://extensions/shortcuts and set your own for TakeFullPage. Chrome also ignores shortcuts on some pages (for example the Chrome Web Store and chrome:// pages).

I cannot capture a Chrome Web Store or chrome:// page

Chrome does not let any extension read its own internal pages or the Chrome Web Store. Open the page you want in a normal tab, or take a screenshot with your system tool for those.

A frame inside the page is cut or empty

Frames from another site need an extra permission. TakeFullPage asks for it only when a capture needs it: choose “Allow” in the Chrome prompt and capture again.

Where are my screenshots stored?

Only in your browser, on your device (open the history page from the extension). Nothing is uploaded. Clearing the extension’s data or removing it deletes the history, so save the files you want to keep.

A very long page is saved in several parts

Chrome cannot draw an image taller than a certain limit in one piece. TakeFullPage then saves numbered parts so nothing is cut. A PDF does not have this limit.

Is TakeFullPage really free?

Yes. Every feature is free. If it helps you, you can support development with a donation on Ko-fi, but it is never required.
